Statement to voters

I am a local Mum and businesswoman living just outside the village of Pewsey for the past 30 years. I work as a volunteer in Pewsey and am a Trustee with the homeless charity Opendoors in Devizes.
For 30 years I have run a global business - Schneider-Ross - and have worked in the NHS and in global businesses to encourage leaders to develop fair and inclusive cultures. My first job was in the oil industry back in the 1980's working in industrial relations at Fawley Refinery.
After the death of Jo Cox MP a few years ago, I decided to "stop shouting at the tele" and stand up to make a difference in my own local community. I felt a genuine calling to serve my country and community in public life.
I will work hard as your Councillor for Pewsey and the surrounding villages, to bring about positive change in our community. I am a member of leadership team for Pewsey Covid 19 response group (PCCA) and I am known for GETTING THINGS DONE!
"It is time to find new ways of working together as we move forward beyond the pandemic. I want to bring a new voice to Wiltshire Council to speak up for everyone in Pewsey. We need to develop a long term vision and the real will to improve public services and life for us all. We must make sure that decisions are fair and put people and the environment at their heart."
The climate challenge requires our full attention and should be top of all political parties' priorities. It requires clear targets and measurable goals set year on year, month on month. I sense a lack of a PLAN in Wiltshire Council's work on this to date and will bring my energy and vision to the Council to raise our ambition to meet 2030 targets. I was unimpressed by the defeatist talk during the WCA hustings event.
