- Statement to voters
Standing for the Birmingham, Perry Barr constituency with the Green Party is a commitment to advocating for social justice. As your candidate, I aim to address such pressing issues such as housing, air quality, and green spaces. By representing this constituency, with my degree and postgraduate qualifications in environmentalism, I can work towards a greener future, in the local economy, public transportation, and community engagement. Working within the Green Party I have been involved in the Trade Union Group, Greens of Colour, Green Party National Executive, Birmingham Green Party as well as the West Midlands Green Party. Working within these groups we have cultivated policies such as Calling for an Immediate End to Violence, Support for Palestinian Rights and Recognition of Palestine. The introduction of a Universal Basic Income, Wealth Tax, having a Retrofit Revolution, with Green Skills Training and Affordable Housing with Rent Controls. I believe that places like Aston, Lozells and Handsworth should be given the opportunity to be invested in to promote people and the planet alike. Vote Green.
