I live in the Tewkesbury area and love it. The town is bustling, the villages are active communities, and holiday makers understandably return year after year. But...

The Conservative controlled council has overseen a general decline in public services; rapid deterioration in the state of roads; collapse in the availability of affordable and council homes; housing developments on flood plains; worsening rubbish collections; speeding through the villages; lack of coherent environmental policies...

I want to help make our town and villages better places to live. I have experience advocating for those whose voices are rarely heard through my role supporting families of children with additional needs, and of effective working in multidisciplinary teams through my previous role as a GP. I have personal and professional experience of child and adult social care and health care. I have served as a hospital governor and as a school governor, listening to my constituents/stake holders concerns and representing them at board level, and using creative approaches to achieve results within financial restraints.

As your local councillor, I will campaign for better flood protection; improved recycling rates; a sustainable housing policy; fix broken roads and pavements; reduce speeding in villages; and protect our green spaces.

Liberal Democrat councils have an excellent track record on delivering high quality local services. A vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote for change, and sends a clear message to the Conservatives that we are not willing to accept the status quo.
