Statement to voters

I’m Alan. I’ve lived in Geddington for many years, and my children and grandchildren have been and are pupils at the village school. I also have family in Little Stanion and am aware of the issues surrounding the development there. I understand that our Labour MP Rosie Wrighting has held a community meeting with developers to resolve these.

I’m a former steelworker and academic, and have run businesses in sport and education across the UK and Europe. I served as a councillor before and spent over 40 years working with local charities and community groups, raising funds and supporting grassroots projects.

I’m currently branch secretary for the GMB union, helping people with workplace issues and standing up for fairness and respect at work. Passionate about health and wellbeing, I’ve mentored young people and vulnerable adults through sport and community initiatives. I would be proud to bring that experience to serve the people of Geddington, Little Stanion and the surrounding villages.
