I am excited and proud to be standing for the Scottish Green Party on the list in Mid Scotland and Fife. Only the Green Party is serious about addressing the Climate Emergency alongside our recovery from the Covid crisis. We recognise the disproportionate impact that both will have on the most vulnerable members of our society. We know that it will mean investment in new Green jobs, particularly in the parts of Mid Scotland and Fife that have never recovered from mines closures, loss of manufacturing industry, loss of electronics businesses, and the lack of planning that has been done to mitigate these losses. Workers at Mossmorran in Fife need a proper transition plan to highly skilled and well paid jobs, and the Scottish Government is dragging it's feet on this.
