Statement to voters

I have lived in Conwy for 15 years and am originally from Anglesey. I am a Welsh speaker and immensely proud of my culture. For the past 20 years I have worked with several organisations training and helping improve understanding of their responsibilities in safeguarding children and adults at risk. I have represented Conwy for the past five years and engaged with many organisations and individuals to help with many issues. I am also involved with a number of voluntary and sports organisations in Conwy. I am running as an Independent candidate - I believe that Conwy is stronger when it speaks with one voice, one that isn't tinted with accents from Westminster or Cardiff, but a voice that belongs to Conwy. I care about where I live and want to see the town flourish; I care about the vulnerable in our community; I worry about the environment and work hard to ensure I do all I can, from recycling to carrying out positive action for local wildlife; I will protect our green spaces and local playgrounds - we know how important the environment is to our wellbeing; I worry about money - I think most of us do in this economic environment; I want local people to be ale to afford their first steps on the housing ladder and not be priced out of our community; I want better for those I care about and the people of Conwy. By voting for me as County Councillor for Conwy you can be sure that I will be there to represent you and take your needs into account. Remember that as an Independent I am allied to YOU.

Rwy'n malio am le dwi'n byw ac eisiau gweld tref Conwy yn blodeuo; rwy'n malio am y bregus yn ein cymuned; pryderaf am yr amgylchedd, a gweithiaf yn galed i sicrhau fy mod i yn gwneud popeth y gallaf, o ailgylchu i weithgaredd cadarnhaol dros fywyd gwyllt lleol; mi wna i ddiogelu ein mannau chwarae a mannau gwyrdd - rydym yn ymwybodol pa mor bwysig ydy'r amgylchedd i ein llesiant; rwy'n hefyd yn poeni am arian - fel y rhan mwyaff ohonom yn yr hinsawdd economaidd bresennol; rwyf eisiau weld pobl leol yn medru fforddio eu camau cyntaf yn farchnad tai ag i beidio cael eu prisio allan o'r gymuned leol; dwi eisiau gwell dros y rhain rwy'n caru a'r bobl Conwy.
