Statement to voters

I am honoured to stand as the Green Party candidate for Mitcham and Morden. I'm an active member of my community and work hard to improve our local area. I'm standing for Parliament to campaign on the issues that I believe are important the area. I have thrown myself into the community by setting up a local park Friends group, volunteering for conservation activities, planting trees, supporting refugee projects, and being an active member of the PTA at the nearby school. 
One of the things I really appreciate about this area is its diversity, which is one of the reasons I support the Green Party policy of seeking to stay in the single market with freedom of movement. I also strongly support Green Party policy on tackling climate change, which includes expediting the transition from fossil fuel based energy to renewables. In my personal life I have had to rely on the NHS and the talented people who work there, which is one reason why I strongly support increasing the NHS budget and oppose privatisation. 

The Green Party represents progressive policies to create a fairer and more equal society, which I strongly believe in.
