Statement to voters

My name is Hugh Easterbrook. I am not a politician and do not have a desire to be one. I am however, like many across the country, very worried about the tone and direction of the approach to Brexit. I feel that there is a real danger that Brexit will not deliver satisfactory answers to the issues that emerged from the referendum and the country risks paying a substantial economic and geo-political price.

I am proposing to stand as your MP in my home constituency of Hampstead and Kilburn for one term only. My objective is to be a strong voice for a Smarter Brexit for those who share my concerns in the constituency and across the country.

I do not believe that I have all the answers. However, I do believe that as a country, we need to think things through and discuss how we can achieve what is best for Britain. At the moment, political ambition, dogma and a little nationalistic delusion appear to be blinding our politicians.

Please grant me a few minutes of your time to read what I have to say on my website and understand what I am seeking to do. If you do not agree, I would be interested to understand your arguments and engage with you. If what I have to say strikes a chord, I would urge you, particularly younger voters, to get involved.

I need you to help me convince others in the constituency and beyond. The future of our country is at stake.
