Statement to voters

Liz Jarvis is a strong, local champion who will always put the Eastleigh community first, and stand up for Eastleigh in Parliament. For the past three years she has been campaigning on the issues that matter to local residents, including fighting to save Winchester A&E, more GP and NHS dentist appointments, a return to proper community policing as well as a local police hub, and fighting to stop Southern Water from dumping sewage in our precious local rivers. She fought to stop development at the Ageas (Utilita Bowl), and she is also leading the campaign against the proposed development at Velmore Farm, and has been calling for funding for the Chickenhall Lane bypass. She has also been working alongside local councillors to support residents across Eastleigh with a wide range of issues every single day.

As the MP for Eastleigh Liz will continue to fight for more access to GP appointments and NHS dentists, take action to cut energy bills and get mortgages and rents under control, push for social care reform including free personal care for adults, a Burglary Response guarantee, and free school meals for all children starting with all those in poverty. She also wants to see school and college funding increased, the pupil premium tripled and a mental health professional in every school. She will fight for proper support for all families in Eastleigh, including children and young people with SEND, and for fair and fast compensation for our WASPI women. And she will keep working to end the sewage scandal, and ensure everyone has access to a safe, clean and healthy natural environment.
