- Statement to voters
Julie is married with three grown up daughters. She has lived in the Borough nearly all her life. She has been a school governor, actively attends Neighbourhood Watch, resident meetings and Community Forums. She knows first-hand the concerns and aspirations of local people and has a track record of speaking up for local people on the issues that concern them
Julie says:
“Over the last few years, we have seen some significant improvements in Wem Brook like the upgrades in housing, in our parks and beyond. We can though do more to improve our town centre and leisure provision. We need to aim high and make Nuneaton the town centre we all want and give our young people a place to be proud of. If re-elected to represent the people of Wem Brook I will continue to work hard for all our residents, be a strong voice for our Borough and make myself available to hear your views and concerns.”
Some of Julie’s priorities will be to:
Demand Warwickshire County Council join Transport for the West Midlands, so we get cheaper and more frequent bus and train journeys. Be a strong voice and say no to any attempt to being run from Warwick – we need to keep services local and oppose Conservative attempts at Warwickshire County Council to run all our services Continue investment in our Council House stock and build more affordable homes Tackle fly tipping and take strong action against those responsible for it Invest in our parks, leisure facilities and open spaces
