Statement to voters

I am a very committed councillor and have served on the Borough Council since May 2003 and currently work for a major engineering company.

I was Chairman of the Standards Committee, member of the Resources and Audit Committees and elected as first Chairman of the Wellingborough Town Shadow Council last year.

I am very proud to have served as Mayor, which presented a fantastic opportunity to engage with all areas, people and organisations of the Borough.

I am passionate about representing constituents, fully support the investment in the much needed Isham Bypass and recently, wholeheartedly supported the exciting Grange Sports Development for Earls Barton.

I chaired at North Northants Shadow Council a Task & Finish Group Climate Change, which enabled me to present an extensive report with many recommendations for consideration by the new Unitary Authority. All areas of climate change, whether influencing our planning system to exploring and protecting our rivers and green spaces , it was considered in the report.

During recent years a residents and developer liaison group nearby was enabled, to ensure that residents views are heard and taken into consideration, protecting villages and general areas.

I pledge to speak up for and support all members of the community, if elected to the New Unitary Authority; fully scrutinising decisions and ensuring transparency.
