- Statement to voters
I’m Jordan Tarrant-Short, a 31-year-old legal consultant and foster career, deeply rooted in the fabric of Heywood. Its where I’ve grown up, where I’ve built my career, and where I have chosen to raise my family. I’m standing as a candidate for local councillor because I believe in the potential of our community, and I’m committed to making a real difference locally. Having been selected to represent North Heywood, I’ve wasted no time in getting involved. Whether its assisting local community groups, serving as a dedicated school governor, or simply being there to support my fellow residents, I’ve made it my mission to be an active participant in the betterment of our town. Being chosen as your Conservative Candidate is an honour I don’t take lightly. I understand the responsibility that comes with it, and I am determined to earn your trust by working tirelessly to address the issues facing Heywood today. I believe in the resilience and spirit of our community, and I’m confident that together, we can overcome any challenges that come our way. As I embark on this journey, I’m eager to engage with as many of you as possible. Your concerns, your ideas, your hopes – they all matter to me. By listening to your voices, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of what matters most to the residents of Heywood, and together we can forge a path towards a brighter, more prosperous future. Heywood is more than just a place to me – it’s home. And if given the opportunity to serve as your Councilor, ill do everything in my power to make it a place we can all be proud to call home!
