Statement to voters

Just a post to let you all know that I will be standing in the local council elections next month as an independent candidate. I’m standing independently so that I have no outside influence from any political parties, and can be free to do what is best for our local area without any political agenda.

This is my first rodeo, so I will openly admit that I am a complete novice when it comes to these elections. But I would really love the opportunity to make a difference in our local community. It’s fair to say that I am excited, but very nervous for the month ahead.

I will say, I’m no career politician, and have no desire to become one. I’m a mother to two young boys, and a business owner. I have been told for many years that I should run for councillor (probably because I am very vocal and won’t sugar coat anything but also very approachable by anyone), so here we are.

I will be out and about over the coming weeks in the run up to the election, but I would absolutely love any support. Any votes will be appreciated too!

Anyway…

There are a few things I would like to address and campaign for in our area and borough wide including;

👉 return of full time education for 3 year olds 👉 lighting on the bypass 👉 leisure facilities for teenagers 👉 speeding through the village/bypass 👉 Priority for RCT residents at the lido

If you have any concerns about the local area which you would like to bring to my attention, please do get in touch. Regardless of the result next month, I will make sure that concerns are passed on to whoever is elected for their attention.
